Jennifer Kaplan used to have the kind of life everyone envied. High powered husband, high powered job, high powered everything. But breast cancer showed her and everyone else that her marriage was a sham, and a couple more failed relationships showed Jen the truth – she’s better off alone. This works for her, and has for years now, but things are about to change. Jen loses a bet and becomes James’ “girlfriend”, at least in front of his family and especially on holidays. This is all well and good until Jen meets James’ brother, Lachlan. Lachlan is the opposite of everything Jen has ever wanted, but he might end up being exactly what she needs.
