Getting Lucky

Book Two of “Monstrous Rochester”

One night stands never lead to actual relationships. That’s just an urban relationship myth, right? Except myths are about to collide for Janice “Niss” Rose. At forty-five, she’s more than happy being single. She finally, finally got a tenure track job in her field a year ago and devotes all her time and energy to making sure tenure track turns into tenure. But she still has needs, so when the gorgeous redheaded bartender invites Niss home for some fun, she’s more than happy to go. When Niss wakes up the next morning still in bed with Lucille “Lucky” O’Quinn, the other woman has a few things she didn’t the night prior. Like bushier eyebrows and pointier ears and, the biggest difference of all, the piles of gold now littered around the room. Lucky also has a massive panic attack because leprechauns aren’t supposed to reveal themselves to humans. Not like this anyway. The two women are forced to spend the next week together while they wait for the arrival of someone who can erase Niss’ memories. Once they get to know each other, Niss and Lucky find that there’s more than sexual chemistry between them. The end of the week could be the end of them, but, if they’re both lucky, it could be the beginning of the rest of their lives.
